Over the last 25 years, Masjid At-Taqwa has come a long way in establishing various activities from Salawaat, disseminating knowledge through lessons and conferences, children’s madrassa and much more - All this upon the Sunnah of the most beloved of creation, Muhammad (SAW).
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, the Masjid is now facing some setbacks. We have come to a stage where the funds have dried up, due to our revenue streams from Jum’uah collections, donation boxes and fund-raising during Ramadan not taking place.
This has meant that the Masjid is in urgent need of funds to help with the day to day running costs, including maintenance and renovation. In addition to this, the masjid requires funds to kickstart our expansion project.
The building of a Masjid or contributing towards it is one of the most virtuous forms of Sadaqa Jariyah that Allah (SWT) has bestowed upon us. We pray that you will take up this opportunity to invest in your Akhira and help us raise £25,000 to enable us to continue this vital work.
And spend in the Cause of Allah (SWT) and do not throw yourselves into destruction (by not spending your wealth), and do good. Truly, Allah (SWT) loves Al-Muhsinun (the good-doers).
(Al-Baqarah 2:195)
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: “Whoever makes a Masjid for the sake of Allah, Allah will make for him a house in Paradise.”
