On Wednesday morning, our family was impacted by the recent ICE raids that are taking place in our community. My husband Luis Enrique, was apprehended and is currently awaiting for a bond hearing. Enrique is the breadwinner in our home and he has been in process to do things the right way since January. Luis Enrique does not have any criminal history, his only crime, like many others, was chasing the American Dream. Luis Enrique is humble, hard working and a present father. Our child was recently diagnosed with Autism and we have been going to therapies three times a week, which has complicated things since his apprehension. Due to desire of many to help us during these challenging times, I am creating this GoFund me. We are humbly asking for donations to finish paying his legal fees. I know I am not the only one going through this, and my heart breaks for what our people are facing, but we are so hopeful that our community will continue using their voice to advocate for those whose voices aren’t being heard.
