This is embarrassing to have to make but here goes.

Back in December, I started getting sick but didn’t know what the reasoning was — I tried to self diagnose and figure it out but by May, it was effecting not only my personal life but my professional life. A trip to the emergency room quickly turned into a congestive heart failure diagnosis and my life has been messed up ever since.

I took time off of work and was hospitalized twice for a total of about a month and had absolutely no income. I’ve applied for disability but that takes time and in the state of Florida can take up to 323 days to reach an approval. I soon found that there is absolutely no state or government help with housing assistance in Florida either due to funds being allocated to FEMA during hurricane Milton that ravaged my area just last year. When I tried to go back to work, I was promised hours and then given the run around until they just stopped responding to me about hours altogether. I counted on this job to reasonably accomodate me and they couldn’t so they just let me go. Unfortunately trying to find another job while oxygen dependent has been very difficult as I can’t do the normal tasks I usually do at quick services restaurants and customer service positions. I’m facing eviction from my home as I have fallen behind. One income does not pay all of our bills so I am reaching out to family and friends and asking for help.

This is embarrassing and tacky but any little bit helps and I’ve reached the end of my rope.
