<div>At the start of our teaching careers, we all worked together on the Navajo Reservation, becoming close friends that we now call family. One of our group, Eric Stauth, was diagnosed with metastatic liver cancer in 2020. Since that time, it has spread to his sacrum, femur, s-spine, and 3 places in his t-spine. <strong>He has had positive results from the most recent radiation and immunotherapy, but there is still a journey ahead.</strong>

<div>Due to heart conditions from childhood, he has to travel to Los Angeles (from Las Vegas, where he lives) for treatment. He has undergone multiple clinical trials and radiation treatments, and struggled through immense pain and additional medical complications.

<div>Eric had to leave teaching due to his health, and while he found other work, he hasn’t been able to work over the past month due to treatments and other symptoms. <strong>He is currently still in the hospital, and does not know when he will be able to return to work.</strong>
</div>

<div>Eric has an amazing family: a wife, Alma, and 2 children, Xalia and Brisa. While Alma is working, it isn’t enough to cover the family’s regular bills, groceries, and needs, not to mention the costs related to medical care and travel to his medical team.

<div>Eric has always been a generous, caring friend to us, and now his family needs our help. <strong>It is always difficult to ask for donations and charity, but it is a time of need.
