Urgent Help Needed to Prevent Nursing Home Admission

As of May 2024, my HMO IEHP stopped paying the company that renders services for my care providers, California Home Health Care Agency, and now I am unable to have care around the clock, leaving me with the alternative of a nursing home.

The purpose of this GoFundMe would be to pay individuals to take care of me while my primary caregiver, who is also my niece, could have some sort of relief to take care of her own business such as doctor's appointments, grocery shopping, and recreation to prevent caregiver fatigue.

I was born with Arthrogryposis and am homebound without the help of a CNA or caregivers. I also require some kind of skilled nursing checking in on me for skin conditions and other health-related issues.

As of this month, the company that provides this service has to pause all caregiver, CNA, and nursing as they have not received payment for services that have been rendered. This leaves my niece doing 24-hour care, 7 days a week, with no relief and only being paid for 7 hours a day. Any other caregivers would have to be paid out of mine and my niece's pocket until IEHP decides to render payment. We are currently trying to resolve these issues along with California Home Health Care Agency, but until that is done, we cannot afford to pay for what I need. My niece and her family are determined to keep me from going back into a nursing home, so we are reaching out to the community, family, and friends for help. We are hopeful this will be resolved soon, but until then, anything you may contribute will help. Please share this and say a prayer that this is resolved soon.
