<div>After I told him we couldn’t make a supervised visit, he exploded online in a way that shook me to my core.

<div>He accused me — and dozens of others — of unspeakable things.

</div>

<div>The DCF investigator, especially, was one of the first people in this whole process to truly understand the seriousness of what has been happening.

</div>
<div>And for the first time in a long time, I felt like someone in the system actually understood what I’ve been trying to protect my daughter from.

</div>

<div>This week, the investigator told me they met with him alongside law enforcement and a mental health professional.

<div>Because he didn’t say certain specific phrases, there wasn’t a legal threshold to take further protective action in that moment.
