Hello. My name is Anna and I’m starting this GFM because my husband and I are short on rent this month.

This past April my mother in law passed away and between that, summer gutting my work hours and my husband being disabled bills have been tight but we’ve been doing our best.

However, we’ve had a slew of car issues that have kept us from being able to stay on top of everything so our rent has fell behind. We were asked for an extension and we have to pay rent (in full, they don’t take partial payments, plus a $50 late fee) “before” the 19th. Because of just needing to eat (we only get $24 in food stamps…) and gas and essentials for the house/pets what little I’ve been getting from my paychecks can’t be saved and wouldn’t be enough by that deadline, and we’re down to our last bit of belongings we can even sell to try and make some of it.

I set this at $950 to cover rent (864), the $50 late fee, and just some extra buffer if the office tries some BS with us.

Any little bit helps and I appreciate any one that comes in contact with this or shares it.
