Hi, my name is Mandy Parten, and I’m reaching out in desperation. Due to severe rheumatoid arthritis, I can no longer work. The disease has attacked my joints, making even the simplest tasks painful and difficult. I am currently working with a lawyer to apply for disability benefits, but as many know, this is a long process with no immediate relief.

Many of you may know my partner, Vincent LaChute. He, too, is struggling with disabilities and is in the process of seeking assistance. This has left us in a devastating financial situation.

We live in Belle Chasse, LA, with our 20-year-old daughter, Angelina. For months, we've been barely making ends meet with the help of family, friends, our church, and what little our daughter earns. But it’s simply not enough. We are now two months behind on rent and facing eviction. Our electricity is scheduled to be shut off on the 24th, and our gas won’t be far behind. Keeping food on the table has become a daily struggle.

We never imagined we’d be in this position, but we have no choice but to swallow our pride and ask for help. If you can contribute anything—no matter how small—it would mean the world to us. Every dollar will go toward keeping a roof over our heads, our lights on, and food in our kitchen.
