The Patagonia is on fire. We need your help! Right now, five massive fires have already destroyed over 22,000 hectares (54,000 acres) of forests, 200 homes, and structures— and they are still raging. I have friends and family who live in Bolson and Epuyen. And my dear “aunt” Alejandra lost her house in the Epuyen fire. Unfortunately, all but one of the fires were started by arson. The situation is dire. Despite the scale of devastation, government assistance has been slow and insufficient. The burden of fighting these fires falls on volunteer firefighters and untrained civilians, who are doing everything they can but lack the necessary resources. With the fierce and unforgiving Patagonian winds—just as relentless as the Santa Ana winds in L.A.—this is a battle they cannot win alone.

The funds will go straight to the firefighters of Bolson and Epuyen for urgent materials needed, and to my “aunt” Alejandra who lost her house in the Epuyen fire.
