Hi, my name is Frances M. Cabanellas, and I'm currently sitting in the dark because the power company decided to cut my power despite all my efforts to pay down the balance. I did a previous GoFundMe, I took out a loan, I've been paying them monthly... I've tried everything. And despite all my efforts, nothing was ever enough for them.

I had to throw out everything in the fridge. I can't charge my phone. I've been reduced to heating up Chef Boyardee with a makeshift fire. I have to shower with cold water. I have to sleep in pitch black darkness, in the heat, with no fan. And with no car, I can barely leave this darkened house.

I've been debating to do this for weeks. I feel awful starting another GoFundMe after you were all so kind to help me the last time. I tried so hard to keep the power on but in the end, I still lost power.

They gave me ten days to pay them $575, plus $50 for a reconnection fee, and that's this Sunday. The full balance is for $1300 but I can pay that down later. I just need to get the lights on because I'm sitting in the dark.
