My name is Tonnie, and my fiance's name is Miranda. We're both queer individuals living in a rural part of Ohio. I am unable to work, and Miranda's job doesn't pay enough for us to move to a more blue state. We need to move for reasons that I'll assume are obvious. Our goal is Oregon, since it won't be as expensive as California, but it's a very long way away, and we'll need capital to prepare for the journey, as well as pay for expenses on the trip and an apartment once we get there. Without your support, it will take us more than 6 months to save up enough money to move, but for the same reasons above, we really can't wait that long. We're asking for your support in hopes that our timeline can be sped up enough to move before any significant changes in our livelihood can take effect. I no longer feel safe here, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. From what I can see, my only safe bet is to move across the country to a state that I know will respect me as a person, or at least respect my identity more so than the rest of the country is soon to.

In detail, these funds will be used for the following:

-first, second, and third month's rent, as well as security deposit for the location we're moving to, based on average low-end rent rates for the area.

-gas and food for the trip

-any hotels to stay at, since our drive will be very long.

-plus a 1k buffer for things we may forget about.
