<div>My name is Petros Fitiwi Gebretinsae. I am a resident in Asmara in the neighborhood I grew up in--"keza Kenisha". I’m 39 years young and a father of 4 beautiful small kids. I joined the Eritrean national service along with my peers in the 17th round and I have been serving in the ministry of defense until now. On April 2025, I suddenly started having breathing difficulties and received medical checkup at Halibet hospital in Asmara. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with early symptom of an aggressive lung cancer and been advised to seek treatment abroad. Obviously, this was a big shock for me and my family. Upon receiving the doctor’s recommendation, I went to Dubai for further analysis and treatment. Further test in Dubai indicated that the cancer has spread to my spinal cord hindering my mobility and causing severe bone complications. Thus, I need immediate treatment. However, the financial cost for my treatment, over USD $100,000 is beyond my family's capabilities.
