<div>On behalf of my dearest friend, I am setting up this page to help them in this time of their lives. This situation is dire. Michele had a surgery in the fall of 2023. As time has passed, rather than healing from her surgery, her health has declined, and rather rapidly over the last 3 months. She was in a local hospital in May of this year, and the doctors told her husband she was not going to live much longer, as her liver was shutting down. They intubated her and asked Mike to sign DNR papers, because at the time they did not think Cleveland Clinic would accept her as a patient, and they believed she wouldn’t live three more days. However, she had already established at the Clinic previously, so she was life flighted to Cleveland on June 1. She has been fighting for her life ever since. Her husband has been by her side the entire time, being away from his job and their home. Their son has been there as he could be as well, but did have to go back and forth a few times, between Cleveland and home, which is Winfield, WV for them. Michele was to be transported back home this week to do some rehabilitation, as the doctors believed she was doing well enough to leave and seemed to be on the road to healing. However, they’ve hit another bump in the road. She has developed some new serious complications that will have to be addressed before she can leave now, which may include additional surgery. With the expenses of trying to maintain their home …. Mortgage, utilities, and bills in general, PLUS Mike having to stay in Cleveland at a different place each week, their savings are rapidly being depleted. They are very concerned about potentially losing their home. We just never know what life will throw our way. She is my dearest friend, since we were 12. I love her and her family as my own family. I am going to share what she shared with me. If you are able to help them in any way, I know it is greatly appreciated. From the bottom of their hearts. Pray over it and if you are able, please help them get through this most recent dilemma. They are overwhelmed. Mike has a place to stay for one more week in Cleveland, and then the funds will be gone. I appreciate anything you can do for them as well. Most importantly, please PRAY that God spares her. She is so special to so many. Following is what she sent to me to share with you.

<div>As humbled, embarrassed, and hesitant as I am to have to post this I first of all need to thank our friends the Atkins, Karnes, Elsender, Wygal, Mattox, and Gibson families for helping us financially and prayerfully during this process, and my friend Missy for making the trek to Cleveland twice already. I just thought we had a lot in savings but little do you know how much it costs to live in 2 cities and one as expensive as Cleveland. Anyway, I have to set up a Go Fund Me Campaign for my family. I just don't know what else to do at this point. If any of you have other suggestions I would be thankful to listen. I don't always have my phone but you may text Mike or message my friend Lori Gibson. My BFF Lori Gibson and my resident FB Professional will be setting this up for us so please message her with questions.
