Hello, let me introduce my brother Michael Hall to you. Michael is a 38-year-old with a wife and a 7-year-old little girl. They have always lived check to check and had financial issues, not being able to have anything saved up for emergencies. Recently, Michael has endured some medical issues and has lost his job due to it. Therefore, he lost his medical insurance also. A couple of months ago, everything was looking up as he got a great job and was gonna be able to breathe a little. It wasn't long before he started having falls and issues with his legs. Now, let me make this known, he has always been a big boy and may be at his heaviest right now but has never let it slow him down. Getting this job was a life-changing event for him and his family. As he started working and being on his feet 8 to 12 hours a day, he started having more and more falls, which led to him being a liability at the plant, and they had to let him go. We have been searching for reliable private insurance and having no luck finding something affordable. He has got turned down for Medicaid and is reapplying. His wife only makes a small amount a month, and it is barely paying the main bills. He has been relying on his neighbor and EMS to help him when he falls.

This past week and a half, his life has gotten to be the worst. Just picture a 38-year-old sitting on a couch having to use a urinal to urinate in and not able to get to the commode to have a bowel movement. A 38-year-old falling and crawling around to find something he can use or call a neighbor to assist him back up. All this with his daughter having to assist her mom to wait hand and foot on her dad and wonder why daddy can't get in the yard and play anymore. This morning, he called EMS to assist him off the couch and to his wife's car to go to the hospital. With EMS assisting, he still fell 3 times and had to crawl up into the car. That is when I was called, and sister bear had to go see what answers she could get. With help from some family, answers were revealed today. Michael has a ruptured or herniated disk in his back at T12-L2. The CT did not show how severe the damage is, and he needs an MRI for that. The MRI is scheduled for December 19th. That is the next thing we need done to see what options for intervention there are. He also is reapplying for Medicaid and applying for disability, but that doesn't help the now. We need to raise money for the MRI and upcoming appointments. We continue to search for affordable insurance. He needs help and cannot take from what his wife makes because that is paying home bills and groceries. I am setting this fund up and will have control of what and where the money goes. Anything will help and be appreciated. Every penny will make a difference. The above picture is from today, and I assisted him to the ground, and he crawled into the house onto a blanket for his wife and me to pull to the couch. Please help my brother. Michael has a appointment this week to see what next plan is. He has been taking meds from hospital and was able to get up in his own today but legs real shaky.
