Urgent Help for Divo (Hannah-Grace’s puppy) Surgery Costs

Hello, I’m Hannah-Grace Mucha. I am a senior in high school and I recently got my dream puppy (Divo) in October. I had been looking for a Miniature Dachshund for almost a year since my two brothers, who are my best friends, moved out for college and work. When I found Divo through a mutual friend who had two dachshunds themselves and had a litter of just Divo and his sister (they are not breeders), I knew we were meant to be together.

He recently ate a squeaker from one of his toys and it got stuck in his stomach while trying to digest it. This caused him to be throwing up all night and morning and just completely out of energy. We decided to take him to the vet hospital (Animal Specialty and Emergency Center), but it was a really big decision for us money-wise. We did 24-hour care because it was the cheapest option, in hopes he would poop it out. That did not work. He had to get surgery (with doctor Matt Hammet ) and it is an expense we cannot afford. With recent unexpected expenses for my brother and the other one's college (out of state), it is a very tough situation. It would be extremely helpful to just get any bit of donations toward his surgery and hospital costs. Divo is my best friend and companion. When I get home from school or dance, the first thing I do is run to Divo. He licks and climbs all over me and we play together for hours, then cuddle all night. I could not imagine taking on this year without him. He follows me everywhere I go around the house and won’t even go outside if I’m not right by his side. If you or someone you know has a dog or puppy, please get rid of any toys that have squeakers inside them. The vet said that this is so common that he does one of these surgeries every single day. Im so grateful my parents were able and willing to work out the surgery he needed for his health. I am hoping I can help out as much as possible with the money, and could really use your help.
