UPDATE: The money y'all have so generously donated thus far has gone to:
- Paying the up-front $500 fee to begin the professional data recovery of my primary work drive.
- Purchase 2 new 8TB drives with which I'm collecting all the data I can find on my other drives to rebuild what might not be restorable by the professional data recovery.
- Purchased the software to do data recovery on my backup drives - which is going better than I dared hope!
- Paid some ongoing bills to take pressure off of the household finances.
