I am a volunteer for Great Babies Rescue, and while I don't like to be overdramatic, we are truly struggling. The picture is one of our newest medical rescues. We have Bernedoodle puppies again, a heartworm positive German Shepherd, Dobermans, and Frenchies, to name a few.
We are out of kennel space, have little money for vetting, and one week left of food for the 100+ dogs now in our care. We desperately need help, just to feed the dogs.
Please open your hearts and help however you can. A $5 weekly donation, $25 monthly donation, whatever you can afford.
All the same details follow below, as I put in every food fundraiser, but know that we are really counting on the generosity of the animal-loving community to keep going.

Great Babies Rescue is unique in that different rescuers focus on different segments of dogs. We specialize in hospice, special needs, Great Danes, Dobermans, Mega E cases, hoarding, and court cases. We cover a large section of the Midwest.
Great Babies Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit dog rescue based in Paoli, IN. Terry Havens Holzheimer is the founder. GRB focuses on SPECIAL NEEDS dogs and LAST CHANCE dogs, specializing in LARGE and GIANT breeds. The rescue operates primarily in the Midwest, including Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky.
- FOOD is desperately needed to feed the 90+ dogs we average each month. We have runs for 37 adoptable dogs, 23 sanctuary runs, and almost 40 dogs in foster homes. We are 100% full, with a 3-month waiting list, but yet we still can't say no to some of these horrific abuse cases.
I am taking on the task of fundraising for monthly food for the dogs. We are desperately seeking donors that will set up a monthly donation. Whatever you can afford! $5 would be awesome.
Breakdown of costs:
32 bags of 40# dry food = $822 ($25/bag)
4 cases of wet food = $96 ($2/can)
Special diets for 4 dogs = $400 ($100 per dog)
Total = $1318
2.9% fee, plus $.30/donation = approximately $57
Grand Total = $1375/month
At this point, I am not including all the food provided to fosters.
