My dear friends, my extended family across this vast world.

I write to you today, not with ink, but with the tears of a soul weary from waiting, and with the beating of a heart struggling to remain strong for the sake of those it loves. I address you today as we have endured more than 1,000 days in the darkness of this suffering—a thousand days of bitter displacement, silent hunger, and oppression that devours our features and hearts. A thousand days with our dreams postponed, folded beneath pillows of fear, protected from the scorching dust of reality.

Here, in this cramped space, the dreams of my younger siblings slumber and awaken to repeated disappointment.

Amir, my brother who excelled in high school with a score that reached for the stars, carries the dream of studying medicine like a burning torch in his hands. For two whole years, he has waited for an opportunity to travel and study abroad, two years of anticipation with nothing on the horizon but a mirage.

Zeina, our flower, asks for nothing more than her simple right to complete her education and build a future that reflects her.

My mother and father, whose strength has been worn down by exile, now dream only of a dignified and peaceful life befitting their aging.

My wife and I carry within our patience a dream that grows stronger every day: our little one, whose arrival we await in six months. We dream that he will be born healthy, and that he will see the light in a world filled with peace and love, not one ruled by walls and tents.

O people of compassionate hearts and vibrant humanity, of whom we have always been proud,

Were it not for God and then your boundless support, we would not have been able to persevere and reach this day. Thanks to your past support, I was able to provide my wife with essential medications and buy some basic sustenance—vegetables and pasta—to keep my family alive. Update our friends have been displaced again and are in need of continued support to buy food, vitamins, medical care, and medicines, clothing, shelter upkeep, and the myriad of other expenses that come up. Please share this campaign with your community and keep our friends in your prayers.

Hello everyone, Our friend Aboud and his family are in urgent need of vitamins and Zaina is not able to return to school until Aboud can raise the funds to pay for her schooling. Children deserves, a home, clothing, food, shelter, education and safety. If we cannot provide all these needs at least we can provide a few. School allows children to focus on something other than the dire situation they are in, it allows them to play and connect with their peers, and it also gives them the tools so they can hope for a brighter future. Here I am again, writing to you once more. For over a month, I haven't received any donations due to the GFM fundraising campaign being frozen. Now, I've received good news: the freeze has been lifted, and our campaign's legitimacy has been confirmed. My friends, today I write to you from a heart burdened with worries, from a body that has lost more than 5 kilograms, from eyes that see only darkness, and from a pain that will only heal with you by my side. I write to you from my mother's weary heart, waiting to smile again, from the body of my little sister, Zeina, and from the innocence of my brother, Amir. My name is Tabitha I live in Washington state and me and a small group of friends have been fundraising for our friend Aboud, who we now consider family. We were introduced to him by a friends family member almost 2 years ago. We send him 100% of the funds wiring straight to his bank account in the Gaza Strip. Our gofundme account has been audited and verified twice in the past 6 months, so it is surely for sure for real a real fundraiser for real people that rely on the kindness of people to help him and his family meet the material needs for their survival. Currently they are in need of food (we haven’t been able to get them money during the audit of this account) that they are in desperate deficit of, to buy clean water, fees for Zeina’s school, medicine and nutritional supplements that the family needs due to health issues, money to save up for Aboud’s eye surgery in Egypt, as well as paying back loaned money from his community during the time his gofundme was being frozen and audited, and then of course clothes and food for his upcoming very humble wedding. Aboud and Rozan (his fiancée) have decided to celebrate love and embrace joy by getting married at the end of march. Any support for Aboud to be able to pay for a celebration for this joyous occasion is greatly appreciate. And of course sustained donations for food, water, medicine and vitamins, weather appropriate clothes, and to keep adding to Aboud’s savings towards his eyesight saving surgery that he will need to get in Egypt. Since then we have raised money to help make life a little easier, as well as printed out 3 zines full of his poetry and writings. (Now then) Today, on 1/31/2026, I am writing these words to you after losing everything in this genocide: my beautiful home, my entire village (which I haven't been able to return to yet), my grandfather, my grandmother, many of my friends, and my beautiful cat, whom I rescued the first time from under the rubble. I was injured in my hand and suffered disfigurement, and now I am on the verge of losing my family, whom I am striving with all my might to save: my mother, Samar, my little sister, Zeina, my little brother, Amir, and my father. We are all here, continuing for a few more days thanks to your support and your embrace of us and of Palestine. You are the jewel of humanity in this cruel world. I speak to you today as your friend, your brother, and a member of your family. I am here to inform you that the crossing will open on Sunday, February 2, 2026. As you know, I was injured in my hand and eye, and I am on the verge of losing my sight. I suffer from a degree of vision impairment that has reached 4.5, and my astigmatism has reached 2 degrees. Both eyes are swollen, and this affects my brain, causing me to faint. I am not asking you to expedite the urgent surgery needed to save my eyesight, but rather, with a broken heart and in the spirit of our shared humanity that transcends distance, I humbly request your assistance in purchasing the necessary medications and eye drops, as well as the appropriate glasses I need to stabilize my vision for just six months until I can travel to Egypt for the surgery. Hello everyone, I hope that you are safe and well with your loved ones. I know there is a lot of heavy-ness in the world. I know I feel it and it is hard to find the motivation some days to do the basics. I will say this, I often reflect on what my family has been through on this earth and I know they were able to survive it because I am a testament of this. I hope only for everyone to thrive on this beautiful planet, and that is part of this work we are doing here together. We are supporting our new relatives that are very far, and we do this because our humanity is sacred and is important to show up for, and we know other people’s humanity is also sacred. So thank you for taking the time to support our friends and make a difference in this world, even when we may also be suffering.

Our friends are currently experiencing an illness that is quickly circulating the camps. They had to borrow money to get medications and supplements. Any money we raise %100 still goes towards the family’s medical needs, food needs, survival needs, and for eye surgery for Aboud in Egypt, when it is possible. This surgery for his eyes are necessary to save what vision he still has left.

Hello everyone, and happy holidays. I am writing to let everyone know that our dear friend Aboud's family is really struggling. His mother had a transient myocardial infarction (heart attack) today and is in the hospital and barely able to talk or move. This is a big blow for the family and especially for the children, Aboud's Mother is not very old and being malnourished for so long has consequences such as this. Their immediate need is $1800 for baby aspirin, heart medications, a feeding cannula and continuous care. If you feel it in your heart, and are able to give, anything truly will help this family as they navigate yet another hurdle.

Hello to all the conscious hearts out here in a world that doesn't often hold that as an important virtue. So thank you for just being a caring person. I hope your holidays are well full of the things that matter most, time with loved ones.

A bit of an update from our friends Aboud and his family. I receive voice messages from Zeina his little sister and she talks to me in english, each message I get she is getting better with english. She is a smart cookie and a sweetheart.

Our friends are enduring some extreme weather, I live in the state of washington and if you do to you understand the extreme rain we have been experiencing along with strong winds, is very similar to what our friends are experiencing. Heavy heavy rains, flooding, extreme winds. But they endure all of this living in tent, a better tent than most, but during the extreme weather they are not able to cook on a fire outside, they are not able to create warmth in the tent and as we have been hearing there are deaths occurring due to hypothermia from colder nights. We are still working towards goals of getting Abouds surgery, we are getting closer to having enough. he also told me that he recently went to the eye dr. because of immense pain and he is one degree from losing sight in his one functional eye. this is hard news, he will be able to get medicine antibiotics and pain reliever for his eye. Hello everyone, it was brought to my attention that I haven't updated the story in a while, but if you have donated we have been updating everyone of the needs of the family that are always evolving.

Our friend Aboud had a dream of having electricity for the first time in 2 years via solar panels, he has seen others with them so they know they are available, but they are very expensive $4,500. So far we have had an amazing response to his dream of bringing light to the darkness.

Another need is Aboud lost his glasses when he was fleeing harm, and he is needing progressive glasses (kinda like a trifocal) they are extremely expensive there and he also needs medication for his eyes to slow down the degradation of his sight, unfortunately his eyesight has gotten worse and he is one degree away from blindness in one eye. Only if the border opens can he leave to get the eyesight saving surgery he desperately needs.

There is also an impending storm that will last 2 days with heavy winds, thunderstorms with heavy rain. They are currently preparing for the storm, they will not be able to cook over a fire for 2 days and everyone is slowly recovering from starvation due to the generosity of this community. His mother suggested they buy 3 kilos of gas which is $1750, which may also last for a week and a half. They want to get some lentils and rice and vegetables if they see them.

Abouds eye is very inflamed and painful. Aboud and Zeina are asking for help from everyone to help their family during all these continual misfortunes

Thank you all so much for your generous donations, especially the increase in the past weeks since Aboud put out another urgent call for his family. We talked to Aboud and decided to raise the goal of the campaign. This reflects the fact that there is no end in sight; their continual displacement as their region faces both increased danger; the loss of their few belongings like their tent; the catastrophic prices for basic necessities like food, water, and medicine; and their worsening health as this atrocity continues. They have only been saving a tiny portion of the money raised so far - a few thousand dollars that is kept safe for them by an organization - in the hopes that Aboud will someday be able to get the eye operation he needs to save his sight. The rest of the money has already been spent on their day-to-day survival, and it is unfortunately still not enough. Even now, Aboud is paying off a loan he took to get his family out of an area that is unsafe.

"I want to advise you on something, share it with all your friends. My family and I love life. We love knowledge and studying. We do not glorify tent life, as we love to have a home and a garden. We have been deprived of our right to life, treatment, and education. We want peace, we do not want wars, and we love free people very much, and we love many in America who are fighting for us. I love you very much. We want you to stay by my side and my family to survive this hell."

I have loved her since 2014. I remember that we were also in a war and I had also lost many members of my family, including my father's uncle. I loved her and confessed to her at that time and she reciprocated the feeling. She loved me but was very shy to confess, so I was the one who took the initiative. Our circumstances were very difficult until we worked hard and did everything we could, Rozan and I, and we were able to secure everything for our families. We had a beautiful house and I graduated from the university from the Faculty of Law and Political Science, and my partner Rozan used to go to university every morning. I remember that I used to wait for her standing at the window of the house to make sure that she arrived safely. I loved her very much and she was the closest to my heart and she still is. We always dreamed of meeting and getting engaged to each other and feeling the happiness that we always sought, getting married and having wonderful children and building a beautiful home of our own that would contain us and protect us from the cold, rain and wind. I was waiting for her to graduate from university so I could go there and share her joy. Roseanne and I were dreaming until the g3nocid3 came and stole everything from us. It stole our dreams, our hopes, our laughter, our homes, destroyed all our memories, and stole everything beautiful. Please help Roseanne and me to fulfill our hopes and find our happiness like everyone else. Help us marry each other and build a beautiful future that was stolen from us by the "Zio" monster machine. Aboud has asked us to increase his fundraising goal to $25,000. Due to close proximity to bombings, he has sustained multiple injuries that require medical procedures no longer accessible in his homelands. Of his known conditions, he needs operations to restore his vision, repair one of his eardrums to restore his hearing, and a fracture in his hand that needs to be set. He has also developed Hepatitis C and skin rashes due to the lack of clean water.

The goal is to help Aboud save up enough money so that as soon as the border crossing opens, he can travel to Egypt to get the medical care he needs. The timeline is unknown, and he is still supporting his 9 year old sister and his mother. This means that he needs funds to help his family survive in the interim as well.

Aboud needs as much support as possible with a tent for the winter, food and access to potable water, and for medicines that are still available to survive the ongoing occupation. "Today is my little sister Zeina’s birthday. She is crying, and we do not know whether to be happy or to cry. She is crying because for the second time it is her birthday, during this genocide, and she cannot even buy herself a simple gift. How will she be happy when we cannot always find food? Please, my friends. And my second family, she told me to tell you to help her by donating to the campaign so that she can buy clothes for her. I swear I am crying over her condition. Please, after she lost more than half her weight due to malnutrition, help me buy clothes for her. She was beautiful, and as a child she dreamed of studying, and she excelled in her studies. She even learned the Turkish language because she was always watching Turkish series. She is very smart, but the war came and stole everything beautiful from her. She lost a lot of weight, contracted hepatitis, and lost her hair. It started falling out a lot because I was unable to buy detergents. She has no clothes, and she wishes to die. Please help her so I can see her smile. I love my little sister very much. I don’t want this day to pass without getting her something."

I introduce myself to you. I am the injured person, Abdullah. They call me Aboud. I am 23 years old. I graduated from the University of Law with a bachelor’s degree. Then my dream was to complete a master’s degree, but the war came to steal everything beautiful from me.

I was displaced from my village since the 7th of October to this day, and I am far from my home, which was destroyed due to the ugliness of wars. I became displaced in my homeland on the 260th day of this war. I lost everything beautiful in my life (I lost my hearing in the left part of my ear, I lost my house, and my cat. , my village, and many of my family members) I even needed an eye operation and to this day I cannot have it done due to my financial circumstances and the difficulty of the matter.

I am Abboud, who was injured in this war in my ears, hands, head, and chest, which one day caused me shortness of breath, and before a while I was infected with hepatitis.

I have been, and still am, sleeping on the street to this day since the beginning of the war. There is no shelter to protect me from the cold of winter, and there is no shelter to protect me from the blazing summer sun. I do not know what to do, so I have begun to wish for death in every moment of the miserable life I live.

I have a younger sister and an elderly mother who suffer from a difficult psychological and health condition. My sister also suffered from hepatitis, and she is in a very difficult health condition, mother.

My mother suffers from psychological disorders and war phobia. She even lost her teeth due to malnutrition. She suffers from very strong cramps, and her heart hurts. She is in a very difficult condition.

And here I am continuing to live in order to save my sister and mother at any cost, even if it costs me my life. I only appeal to you to stay by my side. My little sister and my mother, don't let us die alone
