Andy Storm is an 9 week old puppy who’s been fighting for her little life since the beginning. Andy was found in the middle of a snow storm tucked under a porch for shelter. Hints her name Andy “Storm”. She was believed to just be 4-5 weeks old at the time. At no point was I expecting to adopt another dog so soon until Vickie called me saying they found this poor baby.

After two days Andy started showing signs of some unusual behavior constantly drinking water, using the bathroom almost every time she moved. Her first visit to the Vet, they determined she had a UTI and sent us on our way. But I still knew something was wrong. Her condition just got worse and it started affecting her daily life. After her second checkup on February 4, we decided to run more tests on her blood and urine. The results were not in her favor. Results showed her numbers were low in certain areas that caused red flags such as her kidney levels, red blood cells and some others. Her primary care veterinarian informed us we need to take her to a specialist in PA, Blue Pearl Animal Hospital. Her records were sent up that day and they called us back with an estimate of her care and appointment availability.

Her estimated care cost is up to $3000. The soonest appointment date wasn’t available until March 12. So we took it and got in the cancellation list. Our primary vet doctor recommended she needed to be seen sooner than later and that she would start showing signs of her symptoms and need immediate attention. Over the weekend I started to note her daily behavior was slowing down. She still played but not as long and began sleeping more and more. I became frightened that she was declining and called the emergency vet in PA. They had a cancellation for February 11 and told me to bring her in.

Andy needs this medical attention to live. She should have a whole life in front of her instead of vet visits with needles and tests. She is just a baby who has the spirit of a little fighter. Andy loves playing with other animals mainly her furry cat friend. She lives for treats and stuffed animals. She is such a joy to be around and has so much personality.
