Never thought I’d be creating a GoFundMe but really hoping to help my brother get his dog the care she needs.

MJ is my little brother Matthew’s dog. Matt is one of the best dog owners I have ever met & does everything to give MJ the life she deserves.

Today while playing with a stick she injured herself. Matt rushed her to the vet to make sure it wasn’t worse than it looked. MJ had to be sedated to be examed & X-rays were required to determine if there was anything they could not access in the exam. She has a 3inch deep wound in her mouth & unfortunately X-rays showed lodged piece/s of stick very close to her esophagus.

Matt was informed that MJ would require a specialist & upon her release from VEG in Union he immediately took her to the office he was referred to 30 minutes away.

MJ is currently undergoing an endoscopy to determine if the debris removal requires surgery. We are all hoping & praying for the best case scenario but are awaiting an update. Both the endoscopy & possible surgery are high risk. Matthew was informed that one wrong move could be dire.

Matt has already paid $2,000 for her visit at VEG & the endoscopy estimate was for $3,000. There will be additional costs if surgery is required. All funds will be used for MJ’s care.

While asking for help is hard, Matt agreed when I offered to set this up for MJ. We know that times are hard for everyone right now, even if you are not able to donate your prayers are appreciated. We thank everyone in advance for any prayers or contributions. We will be sure to share updates on how MJ is doing.

UPDATE: Around 7:30pm we received the update that the endoscopy went well & MJ will luckily not need surgery. We are so very grateful to everyone for their prayers & donations. We are so relieved that MJ will be going home tonight to recover. Thank you again for your help so far.
