When you’re holding on by a thread is the perfect time for your transmission to go right??

This photo is not my actual car(I never take picture of my car so I don’t have any on hand), but the transmission died on the highway 3 nights ago. It died on the way to one of my partner’s houses who lives 2 hours away so it’s stuck there until the repairs can be done. And the repairs are either fix it or get a new car. It makes more sense to fix it then get a new car at this point because it will give me more time to look for a new car and be able to make an informed decision down the line.

I live alone with my dog. I am physically and mentally disabled and work a full time job. I am unmedicated and have really been struggling with my mental health for months now. My car is the only thing that gives me freedom and the ability to see my partners more than like one day a month.

The money is going to be put on my partners credit card because my credit card won’t let me borrow that much money. I hate having to ask people for help with money, but I’m really in a hard spot right now. I want to be able to pay him back in a timely manor to avoid interest for him, but also to keep this very heavy load off of my shoulders while my mental health is so poor. This is preventing me from being able to seek help for my mental health and physical disabilities as I was already struggling with the idea of being able to afford doctors appointments.

I’m also draining all of the money I had saved up for a down payment on a house to help pay for the bill. I would like to not loose all of that. Moving would tremendously help my mental health and disabilities as I will have assistance at home.

I never ask for help like this and hate that I have to do it, but here we are. If you decide to donate, I cannot thank you enough.
