<div>On the first day of the war, with my father in Egypt, the responsibility for the entire family fell on my shoulders. Seeing the fear in my little siblings' eyes and their trembling hands, I made the immediate decision to evacuate. Witnessing their distress was unbearable. We initially sought refuge at my married sister's house, believing it would be safer due to its proximity to a hospital – a presumption that proved wrong.

<div>Surprisingly, my sister's house became one of the least safe places in Gaza. Filled with panic and fear, we had to evacuate once again. Now, we find ourselves in an abandoned house in Deir Al Blah, grappling with unsanitary conditions, struggling for water and food, and cut off from the outside world. Every day, I undertake a long journey to secure necessities, walking a considerable distance.

<div>Adding to the difficulties, I faced the painful decision of sending my pregnant wife to Russia with her family in the midst of the war. Being separated from her during this crucial time is incredibly tough. I had always dreamed of experiencing every moment of her pregnancy, but regrettably, I had to prioritize her and the baby’s safety.
