Imagine being told that without urgent heart bypass surgery, you won’t survive much longer. Now, imagine facing that reality with no financial support, no one to turn to, and a family that depends on you.
This is the heartbreaking situation of a man in Pakistan, one of my mother’s relatives who recently suffered a severe heart attack. Doctors have told him he needs urgent bypass surgery, costing around 12 lakh PKR (approximately £4,000), or he will not survive much longer.
Despite having sons, they have abandoned him in his time of greatest need. His current wife, a woman who has daughters from a previous marriage, is struggling to care for him and they all depend on him. He has no savings, no support, and no way to afford the life-saving operation he so desperately needs.
He is not just fighting for his own life, he is the only provider for a family who will be left helpless if he is gone.
This is our chance to be the helping hand he has been denied.
Allah commands us in the Qur’an:
"Whoever saves a life, it is as if he has saved all of mankind." (Qur’an 5:32)
And the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
"The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to others." (Al-Muʻjam Al-Awsat, Hasan)
This man needs us. £4,000 stands between him and his survival. If 40 people donate just £100 each, we can save his life. If you are unable to donate, please share this with others.
The Prophet ﷺ promised:
"Charity does not decrease wealth." (Sahih Muslim)
Every penny you give could be the reason he sees another day, the reason his family doesn’t lose their only support. May Allah multiply your rewards and place barakah in all that you own.
