<div><strong>This campaign is raising funds to provide essentials for 7 families, which include 13 adults and 29 children.</strong>

<div>I am Naji Altayib, a Palestinian from Gaza currently residing in Canada. I have set up this campaign to provide for my family members who are still in Gaza: this includes my grandparents, 4 uncles and their families, 2 aunts and their families. My parents were able to evacuate to Egypt right before the Rafah border was closed.

<div>My grandmother suffers from a heart disease and my grandfather has unstable blood pressure, so they both need medical care that is currently unavailable in Gaza. They were recently approved for medical evacuation, but were stopped by the IDF before they could leave, so we don’t know when they will be able to leave.

<div>After multiple displacements, my family members are currently renting 3 rooms to shelter in. We are raising money to buy some materials to make minor repairs on their house, in order for them to be able to live there rather than continue to rent.
</div>

<div>My family has suffered a lot during these months, including the loss of my uncle and multiple displacements. None of them have an income right now, so I have been the sole provider for them and the help of this campaign has been invaluable.
</div>

<div>As of May 1st 2025, we have raised 72k CAD, which have been used to purchase essentials for my family, such as food, water and medicine, as well as pay for their rent. This cost breakdown is for funds being raised after those, to cover their needs for another 6 months.

<div>One of the young adults is studying for a Bachelor’s in Pharmacy Science and was able to get a scholorship to do so. After the university was destrotyed, they switched to online learning. But unfortunatley, she lost her scholorship when all this began. She won’t be able to continue her studies if she doesn’t pay for her third and fourth years. To cover the fees for these two years, it comes to 4,950 CAD.
