<div>On April 14, 2026, Super Typhoon Sinlaku — the strongest storm of the year with sustained winds of 150 mph — made direct landfall on the Northern Mariana Islands. Tinian and Saipan are completely devastated. Power and water are out, roads are impassable, homes have been destroyed, and our community is in URGENT need.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Isa Ha'ani Long and I was born and raised on Tinian, one of the islands in the U.S. Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. I currently live in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and serve as Co Vice Chair of the Ohala Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based on Tinian. I have been in direct communication with my family on the ground since the storm hit and am coordinating relief efforts on their behalf.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>100% of funds raised will go directly to the Ohala Foundation to fill and ship an emergency supply container directly to Tinian for the entire community, as well as to fund immediate food distributions and essential supplies for families in need right now.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Funds will be used to purchase:
</div>
<div>• Large heavy-duty tarps for temporary roof coverage (most urgent)
</div>
<div>• Solar lanterns and solar phone chargers
</div>
<div>• Clothing for all ages — dri-fit only (XS–XXXL adults, ages 5–18 for kids), shoes sizes 6–10
</div>
<div>• Canned food, rice, pasta, boxed goods, and other essential food items for immediate relief distributions
</div>
<div>• Toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner
</div>
<div>• Medium towels and kitchen hand towels
</div>
<div>• Mops and sturdy buckets
</div>
<div>• Medium storage bins for distributing food, clothing, and supplies
</div>
<div>• Beach chairs for displaced residents
</div>
<div>• Cargo transport costs to physically get supplies from Guam to Tinian
</div>
<div>• Rebuilding and longer-term recovery efforts
</div>

<div>About Ohala Foundation:
</div>
<div>The Ohala Foundation was founded in 2018 during Super Typhoon Yutu as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) based on the island of Tinian in the CNMI. Their mission is to raise critically needed funds and serve as a community assistance organization for the most vulnerable during natural disasters and times of need. At the heart of their work is the Ohala Food Bank, which provides free food, free meals, and free disaster food assistance to those who need it most.

<div>A note on how funds will be delivered:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Because the Northern Mariana Islands is not currently a supported withdrawal territory on GoFundMe, funds will first be received by me, Isa Ha'ani Long, Co Vice Chair of the Ohala Foundation, through my personal U.S. bank account in Massachusetts. 100% of all funds will then be transferred directly to the Ohala Foundation's official bank account in the CNMI via wire transfer. No funds will be retained personally. This follows GoFundMe's own guidelines for fundraisers benefiting organizations in unsupported US territories. Full records of all transfers will be maintained and are available upon request. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
