Hello, my name is Laura from Washington DC and I am raising money for Mohammed, a father of four young boys facing starvation and other dangers in Gaza.

Here is his story in his words:

“Hello everyone, my name is Mohammed Ahmed Abu Rida. I am from Gaza and I have a family of 7. The youngest is 1 year and 2 months old and was born in the midst of the chaos. Salem is 7 years old, Ashraf Amr is 5 years old, Sultan Amr is 3 years old, and Munir Amr is 1 year and 1 month old. The war destroyed everything we owned. They bombed our homes and left us with nothing. We were forced to leave our homes more than 20 times, only to discover that we could not return because a bomb destroyed everything in our home. We were living in tents. This campaign was initially started to collect donations to evacuate Gaza, but after the recent temporary ceasefire, I hope to rebuild my home so that my children, my wife, and my young children have a place to live other than a tent; exposed to nature, whether it is cold or hot. Tents are very unsanitary and make it difficult to stay healthy, especially without doctors or medication. We are not protected from the elements, and we have suffered this.

Water constantly floods the tent, allowing insects and dirt to enter. Your donations will be used to help us survive and try to rebuild our home. I have been hit twice by war in Gaza and displaced twice. Now I have no tent, no shelter, no food, nothing. Flour is very expensive and vegetables are gone. Please help me and my children.

Help my children to survive. There is no food. They are dying of hunger. You know that we are now in a war and death. Look at us with a heart of mercy. Consider my children your children. Their dreams have died. I need you to buy food to satisfy their hunger.
