Hello this is Kelly bugging you again, I started a new gofundme for Kevin (Dennis) because there was too much to try to update the first one and things are a little different. The money I (we) are trying to raise would go to some of the same things like trying to pay the bills and mortgage while I am still desperately, wait.. that isn't all the way true.. I stopped desperately trying to find a job when he was at his worst. But now that he has moved from the hospital to the rehabilitation facility I started desperately trying to find a job again.. I have been applying from Turlock to Stockton and anywhere in between anyday, any shift and although I haven't had any luck, I won't give up. But a couple of the new things we are trying to raise money for is to widen a couple of the doors, a wheelchair ramp into the house, something to drive with wheelchair access (I added a pic of what I am driving now so you can see why) a walker and I know I am forgetting things because I don't know yet what problems we will run into with a wheelchair in the house.

He is trying so hard right now anyone that really knows him has to know that losing part of his leg, well that would be devastating for anyone so I don't mean to sound like a crappy person that thinks its only hard for him.. but for him the man that he is, it is really sad. uhm except for yesterday when I got there to see him and he didn't know I was there yet. shit. I am an awful story teller so let me back up.. Rachelle (my middle daughter) and Christopher (her husband) got him an electric wheelchair that he hadn't been using because he said there was something wrong with it and Chris needed to come pick it up because it was in the way.` As soon as I open the door, I see him hauling ass past all of the elderly people sitting in their wheelchairs in the hallway wearing nothing but his sweatshorts because he needed another bottle of oxygen..he looked up and saw me with my mouth hanging open, yet grinning with a big smile on his face and says hi..

Where I am going with all of this, is that he is trying really hard and yet neither one of us has any income except the $372 that he has coming once a month as part of his retirement from the county of Santa Clara. That means we are desperately struggling to make the mortgage payment, Electricity,Internet (otherwise we wouldn't have any tv, our phones wouldn't work blah blah and food. The other major thing is that he has medi cal right now and there is a constant threat that if he doesn't show a certain amount of progress that they are going to stop paying and he will have to figure out the rest on his own. So now he is pushing himself to where he has fallen at least 3 times, he is becoming claustrophobic, he has appointments now away from the facility that he is at. One for his god awful hernia and the other is for his prosthetic. So one of the things we were hoping to somehow acquire is a wheelchair accessible van, we are also needing to put in a wheelchair ramp, widen the door frames, as well as something with the toilets, a lot of things that I never even thought about. he needs these things quickly because he absolutely needs to finish whatever PT they will give him and come home because medi-cal is threatening to put a lean or take our house for his medical payments.

we are both distraught over that thought, as well as being overwhelmed on where the money we need is going to come from.

If you only knew how embarrassed and awful I feel for having to ask for help again.. I don't even know how to explain that feeling. but I can tell you that it is awful. I know everyone has their own worries.. but if there is anything you can do to help or even pass this along to someone that might be able to help. We would never be able to thank you enough and that goes out to everyone that was kind enough to help with the last gofundme..

Thank you just for taking the time to read this.. I hope you have a great rest of your day. And as I always end these.. Please tell the ones that you love, that you love them any chance you get because you never know what is going to happen that day and you never get a second chance to say I'm sorry or I love you...
