My name is Nicholas Alexander Herd, and I respond to the name Quazzy. I am a Black man with a gift for collecting and processing information. I have a BFA in Film from New York University and have I used media as a way of communicating Spirituality and Black Culture. Over the course of my life, I have found myself privileged to be in rooms that afforded me access to wisdom and insight, that have been pivotal to my mental health and spiritual well being.  This has brought me to a career in Yoga and Meditation, which has been my practice since 2014.

Throughout my life I have been so fortunate to travel, study, and experience so many spiritual cultures, but I often found myself as the minority when it came to either my economic, ethnic, or educational status.

The Running River Collective came from me wanting to share with the world the years of access I have had to an education that offers so much insight and wisdom on healing. At Running River Collective, our mission is to bridge the gap between predominantly black spaces, and an education that is usually afforded to white and/or financially upper class spaces. We provide the tools for people to create their own meditation practice. Participants gain tools that help open a mental study of self, as well as making an action based program to see the results of a better life.

We have done Meditation Workshops for College Student Unions, Community Yoga Centers, and Online Platforms. We are looking to raise money to create a book that has a written account of the practices and meditations people can use in their own life. In addition to our book, we are looking to create a media library that provides this information in various formats for all different kinds of learners. We want to have this information on Text, Video, and Audio, so that all different kinds of learners can benefit from this information, regardless of how they prefer to learn.

With your support we will be able to completely fund the book initiative, as well as fund several workshops that we are planning with other Black Healers (including women and LGBTQ) in the community. Your support will ensure our instructors, energy workers, writers, and crystal makers,  are compensated fairly.

Here is a written example of topics discussed in the book http://heyquazzy.com/ktlbq-universe
