In loving memory of Camille Awanda

After appointments with various specialists, many tests and procedures, on Monday, September 10th, we received the unfortunate news that our dear friend, Camille Awanda, lost her hard fought battle with stage four cervical cancer. About 5months ago, Camille started experiencing digestive problems that got progressively worse. Throughout her battle with cancer, she lost 100 pounds within five months, had such severe pain that she couldn't sleep nor eat, and other symptoms that alarmed us. She was a fighter through all of it.
Abe, her husband, as well as their three children, Andrew (20), Mikkel (17), and Mikkai (14), are in shock due to Camille’s untimely passing. This is not the outcome they were anticipating or hoping for. But, they are ready to honor their mother with everything they have by continuing her dreams for them. However, they know that they can't do this without the support of their loving family, friends, and community.
Camille was a vibrant, selfless and very generous woman who would stop at nothing to help anyone who crossed her path. She had a successful career as a hospitalist at LifeBridge Health, an affiliate of Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. Now due to Camille's passing, the family has taken an obvious major financial hit. Experiencing a significant loss of income, her husband struggles to make ends meet while also continuing to save money for their boys to attend college.
