Anna who will be 8 years old tomorrow has been complaining of headaches for the last few months, so her parents took her to have an MRI done on April 1st. The results from that MRI showed that Anna had a mass the size of a walnut on the left side of her brain stem pushing everything to the right. Anna was sent to OSF medical center on Monday the 4th and at that time the doctor advised her parents that he was almost positive it is a tumor. It is wrapped around veins and blood vessels which means they aren't sure if they will be able to remove it all. They also located some fluid in her brain that will need to be drained as well. Anna will require radiation after the surgery and depending on recovery she could be in the hospital anywhere from 3 days to a week or even weeks. Anna's dad (Kyle) has recently been laid off and her mom (Kayla) will be missing work due to upcoming doctors visits, radiation treatments and possible surgery. Donations will be used for medical bills and helping support the family while the are off work and taking care of Anna and her two little brothers.
