Upgrade to a new eTrike

Donation protected

In December 2013 I was able to buy a MountainTrike, not common here in the US. I saw it as the perfect way continue pursuing my interest in the outdoors. And in particular to ascend by myself to our land in the Sierra nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia, which I attempted two years later. Everything started great in this trip, but on the second day I had small accident in the chair, but entirely my fault, and though I got the chair up and running in two days. my shoulder was not in good shape (for a few months), so I couldn't complete then trip as initially intended:

But came back home and continued using it, for example in the White Mountains: See video here!, and one more!!
It worked as I wanted it but as the electronic throttling was becoming so widely used, I expected eagerly for the time where the trike had an electronic kit adapted to it, like this now:
This eTrike brings together the best of both worlds the manual powering with a buddy assist I am used to with the electronic powering to increase my trail independence and the speedy use in urban settings.
And even see the possibility of using it for Himalayan trail my team and I are planning for December 2019.
Unfortunately given the progression of my physical condition I started noticing that my Trike was just staying parked and gathering dust in the garage so I donated it to organization for adaptive outdoor traveling, Waypoint Adventure . So that, as it is, will give the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors as I do, to other kids and in general individuals with disabilities.
For these reasons I started this campaign, to raise the money for a new e-trike (shipping from
Europe + new trike + outdoor accessories; unfortunately due to the minor accident I do not want to risk investment on just upgrading my old model) to increase my access to different trails and adventures, and after donating it to the same organization, to make it available to more kids, including those with more acute mobility impairments to offer them more independence.
If I achieve success with this campaign, with your support of course, I am very grateful, especially because not just I will benefit. Therefore your contribution small or large, or your sharing of our project with your friends and peers, would be much appreciated.
