UOW Netball: Supporting Breast Cancer Research Together
Every year the University of Winchester Netball Society raise money and awareness for breast cancer. As a community of women, this cause is very close to our hearts and we want to do as much as we can to help, in anyway.
Breast cancer research is critical to improving early detection, developing better treatments, and ultimately finding a cure. Every donation brings hope to those battling this disease and supports efforts to save more lives. 1 woman every 10 minutes is diagnosed with breast cancer and around 55,000 women and 400 men are diagnosed every year in the UK.
For some of us this specific type of cancer has personally affected ours and our families lives, with family members being diagnosed with breast cancer and many having breast cancer scares.
Our netball society is rallying together not just for those we know, but for the millions of people globally who are diagnosed with breast cancer each year. By using our platform as a team and a community, we hope to contribute to this important cause.
Your donation, no matter the size, will directly contribute to life-saving research. Every pound raised will support scientists and medical professionals working tirelessly to develop new treatments, provide better care, and give hope to those diagnosed with breast cancer.
