Assalamu'alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh ,
Some of you may or may not know, but the UOMSA holds iftars every Monday and Thursday for students on campus throughout the month of Ramadan. Each week a committee within the MSA must organize and fund an iftar for one night. The marketing committee (the one I am a part of), is holding theirs on the 8th of June.
The costs for this the iftars are usually between the $1700-$2000 range. We're expected to raise this money on our own through the help of local businesses, organizations, friends, and family. We are urgently asking you all for your help.
It was reported that the prophet (peace be upon him) stated that:
"Whoever feeds a fasting person, will be recompensed with forgiveness of sins and salvation from Hell. He will receive the same reward as the fasting person without causing him any reduction (in his reward)."
