PROGETTO

La violenza è il tema della mia vita avendo subito io personalmente un abuso sessuale nell’infanzia.
Dopo tanto lavoro su me stesso ho cominciato a pensare che la violenza maschile sia un problema che deve essere risolto dagli uomini.
E come uomo voglio fare la mia parte.

OBIETTIVO

L’obiettivo del progetto non è fare una denuncia, ma portare una maggiore consapevolezza e comprensione sul perché usiamo la violenza o abusiamo del potere; è anche portare luce sugli effetti, tante volte devastanti, che la violenza porta a chi la subisce e a chi la crea.
La mia finalità è quella di dare sostegno agli uomini, specialmente a quelli che hanno subito violenza sessuale come me, e come me, anche agli uomini che hanno agito con violenza e che vogliono affrontare davanti allo specchio se stessi. Il primo passo sarà attraversare questo specchio con il proprio corpo e la propria mente.
 
SPETTACOLO TEATRALE “LupoLupetto” (SusiHukka)

Lo spettacolo, scritto da Tapani Mononen, esordirà in Finlandia nel suo paese d'origine alla fine del 2021/inizio 2022, e successivamente nell’autunno 2022 arriverà in scena in Italia.
Il motivo per cui si presenta lo spettacolo prima in Finlandia sta nel fatto che la sua storia è iniziata proprio li.
La drammaturgia tratta l’abuso sessuale infantile, in particolare l'abuso maschile verso il maschile.
Una storia d’incontro/scontro di due uomini: vittima e carnefice. All’inizio né l’uno né l’altro si "ricordano” del passato che li lega. Ma piano piano la verità viene a galla fino ad arrivare a fare i conti col proprio passato.
La storia non è solo un’invenzione artistica, ma è basata su un’ esperienza personale dell’autore.
La realizzazione in Finlandia ha già trovato il sostegno di due esperti teatrali ed un terapeuta specializzato in violenza sessuale verso gli uomini.

LABORATORIO TEATRALE “Uomini e Violenza”

Verrà realizzato in Italia partendo dal Friuli Venezia Giulia (autunno 2021) per arrivare poi nel 2022 in Finlandia e viene condotto dall’attore e regista Tapani Mononen.
Il progetto è rivolto ad un gruppo di uomini (6-8 uomini) che in qualche modo hanno avuto un’esperienza di violenza: in forma agita, assistita e/o subita. O semplicemente uomini che vogliono mettersi in gioco per affrontare questo tema.
Il punto di partenza siamo noi stessi: come percepiamo la violenza, come la viviamo, come l’abbiamo vissuta.
Così raccogliamo materiale dal nostro vissuto per poi allargare lo studio tramite testi teatrali, interviste, esperienze che conosciamo. In questo modo guardiamo dentro noi stessi.
Allo studio del laboratorio è legata la ricerca sull'uso e l’abuso di potere, tema strettamente legato alla violenza: come l’usiamo, come lo subiamo, quando lo usiamo per costruire relazioni o invece quando lo abusiamo per egoismo.

                              Fasi del laboratorio teatrale:

La conoscenza dello strumento teatrale e del gruppo: tramite esercizi espressivi prendiamo confidenza
con il mondo del teatro e diamo fiducia al gruppo di lavoro al fine di sentirsi sicuri per esprimersi.
Il tema della violenza: attraverso lo strumento teatrale lavoriamo con delle scene che riguardano la violenza e l’uso del potere. Lavoriamo anche con le nostre storie personali tramite tecniche di storytelling. Essendo un tema forte e personale per tutti, il lavoro viene svolto nel totale rispetto dei nostri confini e limiti, senza nessuna forzatura, ma semplicemente creando delle situazioni dove il processo può emergere e può essere osservato, senza giudizio e con consapevolezza.
Lo spettacolo: alla fine condividiamo l’esperienza con uno spettacolo finale dove mescoliamo arte e creatività del teatro con le storie vere e vissute da noi uomini.
La tournèe: l’intenzione è quella di una tournée dove lo spettacolo possa girare in diversi teatri e festival di città italiane.

LIBRO “UOMO INTEGRO” (EHEYTYVÄ MIES)

Un libro, scritto sempre da Tapani Mononen, che approfondisce le tematiche dello spettacolo rispetto all’abuso sessuale.
La storia ha tre personaggi principali: signor Lupo (carnefice) , un ragazzo Lupetto (la vittima) e la voce narrante dello scrittore, che riporta la storia nel presente. Il libro parla degli uomini e dei modelli corrotti di uomo che trasmettiamo alle generazioni future; fino a quando non spezzeremo le catene del passato e inizieremo a cercare un nuovo modello per essere un uomo.
Il libro riporta un dialogo immaginario tra Signor Lupo e Ragazzo Lupetto .
L'intenzione è quella di approfondire questi due mondi e di descrivere il legame tristemente forte che esiste tra le due persone.
Tuttavia, l'incontro con Signor Lupo aiuta Ragazzo Lupetto a disconnettersi e ad iniziare il viaggio verso la propria mascolinità, verso l’uomo che è veramente. La voce narrante dello scrittore si riflette sull'importanza dell'arte, della creatività in tutte le sue sfaccettature d'esperienze di vita.
Il libro sarà pubblicato prima in lingua finlandese ed in seguito in lingua italiana.

DOCU-FILM “Dove sei, chi sei, essere un altro”

Il docu-film diretto da MAM sarà girato sia in Italia che in Finlandia. Raccoglie il viaggio interiore ed esteriore di Tapani Mononen percorrendo la sua vita passata fino al presente per un futuro diverso.
Un viaggio verso un uomo integro, attraversando tutte le fasi del progetto.
La direzione artistica e la regia del docu-film sono curate dal regista Marco Arturo Messina (alias MAM ) .
Marco Arturo Messina è regista, direttore creativo, produttore, sceneggiatore, fotografo e fotoreporter di guerra, scrittore. Dal 2016 è Ambasciatore UNESCO e Testimonial di Pace per il Club UNESCO di Udine.
Ha ricevuto menzioni e premi in Festival di Cinema, Teatro, Musica e Danza per il suo lavoro eclettico e visionario e per le sue partecipazioni come direttore artistico a video installazioni museali in Italia e all’estero.
La sua missione è inventare, creare, comunicare empatia, fare scelte, dare nuovi significati, informare per creare rilevanza esterna e utilità sociale.

“Quando la tua vita comincia ad avere un senso più profondo, quando senti che hai uno scopo nella vita, tutto cambia, ogni tuo passo acquista un peso diverso.
Per me è successo così quando ho iniziato a pensare questo progetto, tutto è cominciato durante il lockdown di marzo/aprile 2020, quando questo “stop forzato” mi ha fatto riflettere sulla mia vita e su tutto ciò che avevo fatto fino ad allora.
A fine aprile 2020 ho mosso i primi passi e non mi sono più fermato; non ho intenzione di fermarmi finché tutto questo non sarà realizzato.
Qualche volta faccio dei piccoli passi e altre volte dei grandi passi.
Ci sono e ci saranno giorni in cui sento tanta forza ed entusiasmo, e ci sono e saranno giorni in cui mi sento disperato e senza voglia di andare avanti.
Ma va tutto bene, fa parte del mio processo.

THE PROJECT

Violence is the theme of my life having personally experienced sexual abuse in childhood.
After a lot of work on myself I began to think that male violence is a problem that needs to be solved by men. AndasamanIwanttodomypart.

Of Finnish origin, he lives and works in Italy since 23 years. He has always combined the personal with creativity: taking as a starting point personal stories and transforming them into the art of theater.

THE AIM

The aim of the project is not to make a complaint but to bring greater awareness and understanding of why we use violence or abuse power; it is also to bring light to the effects, so many times devastating, that violence brings to those who suffer it and those who create it. My goal is to give support to men, especially to those who have suffered sexual violence like me, and like me, also to men who have acted violently and who want to face themselves in front of the mirror. The first step will be to cross this mirror with your own body and mind.
 
THEATRE SHOW "Wolf-Wolf cub" (SusiHukka)

The show, written by Tapani Mononen, will debut in Finland in his home country at the end of 2021/beginning of 2022, and then in the fall of 2022 I will arrive in Italy.
The reason for presenting the show first in Finland lies in the fact that his story began right there.
The dramaturgy deals with childhood sexual abuse, specifically male-on male abuse.
A story of encounter/clash of two men: victim and perpetrator. At the beginning neither one nor the other "remembers" the past that binds them. But slowly the truth comes to the surface until they come to terms with their past.
The story is not only an artistic invention, but is based on a personal experience
The realization in Finland has already found support from two theater experts and a therapist specilaizing in sexual violence against men.

THEATRE WORKSHOP "Men and Violence"

It will be realized in Italy starting from Friuli Venezia Giulia (Autumn 2021) and will arrive in Finland (2022) and will be led by the actor and director Tapani Mononen
The project is aimed at a group of men (6-8 men) who in some way have had an experience of violence: in acted, witnessed and / or suffered form. Or simply men who want to get involved to address this theme.
The starting point is ourselves; how we perceive violence, how we live it, how we have experienced it.
So we collect material from our experience and then expand the study through theatrical texts, interviews, experiences that we know. In this way we look inside ourselves.
The study of the workshop is linked to the research on the use and abuse of power, a theme closely related to violence: how we use it, how we suffer it; when we use it to build relationships or when we abuse it for selfishness.

Phases of the theater workshop

 Knowledge of the theatrical instrument and of the group: through expressive exercises we become
familiar with the world of theater and give confidence to the group in order to feel safe to express themselves.

 The theme of violence: through the theatrical tool we work with scenes that deal with violence and the use of power. We also work with our personal stories through storytelling techniques. Since this is a strong and personal theme for everyone, the work is done with total respect for our boundaries and limits, without any forcing, but simply creating situations where the process can emerge and be observed, without judgment and with awareness.

 The Show: at the end we share the experience with a final performance where we mix art and creativity of the theater with the real and lived stories of us men.

 The Tour: the intention is that of a tour where the show can turn in different theaters and festivals of Italian cities.

BOOK "INTEGRAL MAN" (EHEYTYVÄ MIES)

A book, also written by Tapani Mononen, that delves into the themes of the play with respect to sexual abuse.
The story has three main characters: Mr. Wolf (perpetrator), Wolf Cub Boy (the victim) and the narrator's voice of the writer, who brings the story back to the present. The book is about men and the corrupt models of man that we pass on to future generations; until we won’t break the chains of the past and start looking for a new model for being a man.
The book reports an imaginary dialogue between Mr. Wolf and Wolf Cub Boy .
The intention is to delve into these two worlds and to describe the sadly strong bond that exists between the two people
However, meeting Mr. Wolf helps Wolf Cub Boy disconnect and begin the journey to his own masculinity, to the man he truly is. The narrative voice of the writer reflects on the importance of art, creativity in all its facets of life experiences
The book will be published first in Finnish and then in Italian.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          
DOCU-FILM “Where you are, who you are, being someone else”

The docu-film directed by MAM will be shot both in Italy and Finland. It collects the inner and outer journey of Tapani Mononen through his past life to the present for a different future.
A journey towards a man of integrity, going through all the stages of the project.
The artistic direction and the direction of the docu-film are by the director Marco Arturo Messina (aka MAM).
Marco Arturo Messina is director, creative director, producer, screenwriter, photographer and war photojournalist, writer. Since 2016 he is UNESCO Ambassador and Testimonial of Peace for the UNESCO Club of Udine.
He has received mentions and awards in Film, Theatre, Music and Dance Festivals for his eclectic and visionary work and for his participations as artistic director in museum video installations in Italy and abroad.
His mission is to invent, create, communicate empathy, make choices, give new meanings, inform to create external relevance and social utility.

 ”When your life starts to have a deeper meaning, when you feel that you have a purpose in life, everything changes, every step of yours acquires a different weight.”
For me it happened like this when I started thinking about this project. Everything started during the lockdown of March/April 2020, when this “forced stop” made me reflect on my life and everything I had done until then.At the end of April 2020 I took the first steps and I haven’t stopped since; I don’t plan to stop until all this is accomplished. Sometimes I take little steps and sometimes I take big steps. There are and will be days when I feel so much strength and enthusiasm, and there are and will be days when i feel desperate and without the will to move forward. But it’s okay, it’s part of my process. And who knows, maybe yours too.
