Felicity's Medical Fund

Back in January, Felicity began to complain of a pain in her abdomen. We both work hourly jobs, money is always tight, and Felicity doesn't have health insurance. So we did what people do and waited. She toughed it out. 

In March, she ended up in the emergency room, vomiting from the pain. The doctors gave us mixed results. It's the pancreas! It's the gallbladder! It's the liver! But follow-up tests could never confirm the exact cause. The doctors even began screening for cancer, which was a very scary time for us. (Thank god it wasn't that.)

Finally, in April, we got an answer. It was her gallbladder. She needed surgery. She spent the month filling out insane amounts of paperwork as the surgery got pushed back again and again. Because money was so tight, she continued to work as she was able, coming home in tears day after day. At the same time, I attempted to pick up hours as well, working through debilitating back problems, sometimes to the point that I was unable to walk afterward. Even so, we burned through our tax return and exhausted our lines of credit to make ends meet.

On May 22nd, Felicity was finally able to have her surgery, and it will be a while until she is able to work again.

Long story short, we won't be able to pay our rent and bills in June. If we're going to keep our little apartment and keep the lights on, we need your help. Your donation is the difference between us having a home or not. It's the difference between being able to pick ourselves up this month or completely starting over. 

This campaign is not about medical bills. We're going to be in debt for months, perhaps years, either way. This campaign is about getting through June.
