Until Stacy can get back on her feet.

Hello. Most of you know who am but for those who do not, I am Justina Stacy’s best friend. Stacy is a phenomenal woman as you all know. Stacy if you don’t personally know her she is a single mom of 2 amazing kids. The type of person that would give you the shirt off her back and a one of a kind hair stylist.
Unfortunately and unexpected Stacy had to have emergency open heart surgery to remove a very large tumor found on the left side of her heart. March 11th Stacy and her mom went down to Stanford where she was going to have correctional rhinoplasty. Her Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Doctor wanted to do an echo before going into surgery, this is when they found the tumor. Not the news any of us expected. Fear is an understatement of what all of us especially Stacy felt. But Stacy being the strongest person I know sat up and said “what’s the next step I’ve got this”. She’s unbelievable. So on that day they started her on 2 different antibiotics for 8 days before she could go in for surgery. On March 19th Stacy bravely went in for one of the more difficult and dangerous open heart surgeries. Surgery was over 6 hours long, they were successful with removing the tumor. 45 minutes after closing her up and watching how she was doing being on the ECMO machine she went into cardiac arrest so they re-opened her up and after a super long 11 minutes her heart started to beat again. They closed her up and she went into ICU. 4 hours later they had to rush her back into surgery opening her up for the 3rd time because she had a bleed that was filling her chest cavity. They stopped the bleed closed her up for the final time. Surgery is done and now the hard part of healing starts. Lots of rollercoaster days of good and bad with lots of pain. She is hands down the strongest person I know. April 2nd, 15 days since massive surgery she comes off the ECMO machine. This great news but also terrifying. Stacy does great. The main picture I have posted is 6 days after being taken off ECMO still in alot of pain and her heart recovering she is so blessed to feel the sun tough her face again. She is on day 31 in ICU and a total of 40 in the hospital.

I am posting this because Stacy being an independent stylist means if she can’t work she doesn’t get paid and the bills never stop. Anything can help her and her kids. I my self would greatly appreciate anything you could donate. Thank for taking the time to read this. ~ Justina
