Until I'm allowed to go back to work

I am an independent contractor. Over the road Truck driver. At the end of October I had a heart attack while out on the road. I was ok for a bit. I didn't know it would be so long before I was allowed to redo my dot medical card (a have to after a heart attack) and go back to work. There is a minimum 2 month waiting period. It will be at the end of the year before I'm even allowed to redo my card and get back to work. I'm just trying to keep my bills up and help a little bit with Christmas until I can go back to work.
