Untied Bayou

My name is Devon Tre Norman. I am a
community activist in Lafayette Louisiana! My focus has been on the injustices and racial disparities of black citizens, however I strive to fight for all citizens! I believe that Louisiana has the ability to be the example for change this country needs to see to restore peace and civility in our nation. There is so much wrong in America, however the Bayou has the ingredients to make a perfect gumbo to make at least most of it right. I’ve had many experiences in my life that have prepared me for this journey.I love bringing people together, reminding us of what unites us, and assuring us that what makes us different, is what makes us American! From working in the funeral industry, to being a minister while working in hospitality and going to college at the same time; I’ve always been a servant to the people! 

I am fundraising because, there are many
expenses like media adds (gets the word out) material for community actions, paying contract workers to use their talents to further the cause, and so much more! Of course through this process we tend to lose focus on our own well being while trying to maintain that of everyone else.  

I understand everyone Is facing hard times in this year, however the work must continue. No matter how big or small, your contribution is gravely appreciated, and I believe God will bless you because you are blessing others!
