<div>unserer Freundin Judith geht es schon länger nicht gut. Prekäre Arbeitsbedingungen im Nachtleben, psychologische Arbeit mit Kindern und Jugendlichen in einem politischen System, in dem Akzeptanz und Budgets für diese stetig sinken, sowie jahrelange, unbezahlte Aufklärungs- und Bildungsarbeit haben ihre Spuren hinterlassen.

<div>Obwohl Judith ihre Erschöpfung immer wieder thematisiert, hat sie auch diesen Sommer nicht aufgehört, unzähligen von uns mit ihrer Musik Momente fürs Herz und die Seele zu schenken. #braveandstrongandbrokenallatonce

<div>Doch nun ist der Punkt gekommen, an dem Judith entschieden hat, dass es so nicht weitergehen kann und sie Hilfe braucht, um ihre mentale Gesundheit zu schützen.

<div>Konkret bedeutet das: ein mehrwöchiger, stationärer Aufenthalt in einer Klinik. Was es auch bedeutet: keine Gigs in der Zeit, keine bezahlten Workshops, keine Promo, keine Sichtbarkeit, keine Kommunikation für zukünftige Gigs. Aber auch: laufende Kosten und die permanente mentale Last und Sorge bezüglich dieser finanziellen Herausforderung.

<div>Judith trägt als Selbständige ihre Krankenversicherung selbst und eine Lohnfortzahlung im Krankheitsfall, die Angestellte kennen, gibt es nicht.

<div>Um ihr, zumindest in Teilen, diese mentale Last zu nehmen und mehr Raum fürs Gesundwerden zu schaffen, haben wir, Freundinnen von Judith, dieses gofundme ins Leben gerufen. Weil wir wissen, wie schwer es ist, nach Hilfe zu fragen, wenn es einem nicht gut geht. Weil wir wissen, wie groß die Scham und Last bezüglich einer so prekären finanziellen Situation ist und weil wir uns nichts sehnlicher wünschen, als dass Judith ihr Strahlen wiederfindet.

<div>So richtet sich dieser Aufruf auch an euch, all jene, die Judiths Musik lieben, sie als Menschen schätzen, die von ihr gelernt haben, sie als Vorbild sehen, die von ihr zum Lachen gebracht wurden, die sie bewegt hat, innerlich und im ganz eigentlichen Sinne und die sich fragen, wie sie helfen können: mit eurer Unterstützung kann Judith ein Stück finanzielle Last genommen und der Fokus aufs Gesundwerden gestärkt werden. Jedes Teilen, jeder noch so kleine Betrag hilft.

<div>Mit dem Spendenziel von 6.000 € könnte Judith ihre laufenden Kosten bis Ende des Jahres decken und wäre damit auch über einen Zeitraum über den Klinikaufenthalt hinaus abgesichert. Der komplette Betrag wird direkt an Judith weitergeleitet.

<div>Dear friends, family, colleagues, and fans of Judith van Waterkant,

<div>Our friend Judith has not been well for some time. Precarious working conditions in nightlife, psychological work with children and young people in a political system where acceptance and budgets for this are steadily declining, as well as years of unpaid educational and awareness-raising work have taken their toll.

<div>Although Judith has repeatedly talked about her exhaustion, she has not stopped giving countless of us moments for the heart and for the soul with her music this summer. #braveandstrongandbrokenallatonce

<div>But now the point has come where Judith has decided that she cannot go on like this and that she needs help to protect her mental health.

<div>Specifically, this means at least several weeks of inpatient stay in a psychological clinic. It also means no gigs during that time, no paid workshops, no promotion, no visibility, no communication for future gigs. But it also means ongoing costs and the constant mental burden and worry about this financial challenge.

<div>As a self-employed person, Judith pays for her own health insurance and does not receive continued pay in the event of illness, which employees in Germany are familiar with.

<div>To relieve her of at least some of this mental burden and create more space for her to get well, we, Judith's friends, have set up this gofundme. Because we know how difficult it is to ask for help when you are not feeling well. Because we know how great the shame and burden of such a precarious financial situation is, and because we want nothing more than for Judith to regain her sparkle.

<div>So this appeal is also directed at you, all those who love Judith's music, who appreciate her as a person, who have learned from her, who see her as a role model, who have been made to laugh by her, who have been moved by her, both inwardly and in the truest sense of the word, and who are wondering how they can help: with your support, Judith can have some of her financial burden lifted and her focus on getting well strengthened.
