<div>Hi! Ich bin Emily Otto und ich bin Sängerin, Songwriterin und Musikerin aus Leverkusen. Meine musikalischen Wurzeln liegen im Jazz und Neosoul. Im Schreiben versuche ich immer von Musik und Sprache leiten zu lassen, egal wo sie mich hinführen. Aus diesem Ansatz entstehen mal Arrangements für eine 11-Köpfige Band oder mal ganz intime Stücke nur für Stimme und Gitarre.

<div>In diesem Jahr durfte ich mit meiner EP „Clover“ und meinen Auftritten bei den Leverkusener Jazztagen zwei Meilensteine erreichen. Dank dem FUTURE SOUNDS Preis und der Resident Artist Popmusikförderung, konnte ich zum ersten mal meine Musik professionell aufnehmen und produzieren. Es ist bisher die erfüllendste Arbeit gewesen, die ich gemacht hab. Es ist so schön zu erleben, wie die Musik Menschen berührt.

<div>Jetzt möchte ich nur noch mehr Musik machen! In den letzten Monaten habe ich viele neue Lieder geschrieben. Einige davon kennen ein paar von euch schon von meinen Livekonzerten und andere sind brandneu und ungehört. Alles was ich wirklich tun möchte ist diese Songs aufzunehmen und sie mit der Welt teilen.

<div>Als independent Künstlerin ohne Label, Agentur oder Management bin ich auf die Unterstützung meiner Community angewiesen um meine Projekte wirklich zu machen. Deshalb sammle ich 3000€ für Studiomieten, Session Musiker, Produktion und alles andere, dass die Musik an die Welt bringt.

<div>Ich bin mir noch nicht sicher wie das Endergebnis aussehen wird. Vielleicht wird es noch eine EP, eine Handvoll Singles oder der Anfang eines Debüt-Albums. Ich weiß aber eins: Die Lieder sind bereit, die Menschen sind bereit und die Energie ist da. Es braucht nur noch einen kleinen Anstoß, um Wirklichkeit zu werden.

<div>Hi! I’m Emily Otto, a singer, songwriter, and musician from Leverkusen, Germany. My roots are in Jazz and neosoul and I strive to write in a way that honors music and language itself. For me that spans everything from a full 11-person band to stripped-down acoustic arrangements. I’m always trying to listen to where songs and words want to go.

<div>In 2025, with the release of my debut EP Clover and my performance at the Leverkusen Jazz Festival, I hit some big milestones. Thanks to the FUTURE SOUNDS Award and the Resident Artist program, I was able to record my music professionally for the first time and it’s been the most rewarding work of my life. It’s been so beautiful to see how many people connected with these songs.

<div>Now I want to make a bunch of new music! I’ve written so many new songs in these past few months, some of which you might know from my live shows and others are still brand new and unheard. All I truly want to do is to record these songs and bring them out into the world.

<div>As an independent artist without a label, agency, or management team, I rely entirely on the support of my community to make my projects possible. That’s why I’m raising 3,000 €  to cover studio rent, session musicians, production, and everything that goes into bringing this music to life.

<div>I’m not sure yet what shape this project will take — a few singles, another EP, or maybe even parts of a debut album. What I do know is that the songs are there, the people are there and the energy is there. It just needs a little push to come to life.
