We’re excited and grateful to compete not only nationally, but internationally in 2019--but we need your help.
WHO we are: Uniting Voices A Cappella, a co-ed competitive group at UC Irvine. Our power lies in our diversity, in our talent, and in our passion.
WHAT we do Here are some things we’re known for:
- Giving back to UCI and the surrounding community by singing at events for the city of Irvine, Circle K, Rotaract, ASUCI, and more.
- “Best A Cappella” at UCI’s annual talent show, Soulstice, for the past 2 years in a row
- Co-organizers of ACALOVE - Southern California A Cappella Festival
At the end of the day, we’re dedicated to opening doors and building a community for learning and self expression. We create a safe space to learn and grow as singers, leaders, and human beings.
WHY we need your help:
Competition season is coming up fast.
For the first time in our history, we’re headed to the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) -- aka the competition “Pitch Perfect” is based on! We’ll be heading to UC San Diego on February 24th for quarterfinals.
Not only that, but we are also thankful to have made it into the Los Angeles A Cappella Festival (LAAF) for the second year in a row. Super excited for the competition and workshop in El Segundo from February 8-10.
All proceeds will go towards competition expenses:
- Admission Fees (33.2%)
- Music (49.7%)
- Housing (17.1%)
We’ve been working alongside professional arrangers to help us create our best set yet. Your contributions help alongside our quarterly member dues and on-campus fundraisers!
