IAM is a student ministry group that was founded by a couple of international students in the city of Lynchburg. Even though the group was founded by primarily Korean international students, IAM welcomes anyone with the heart to serve to join! It is a group that is dedicated and wanting to help serve the local community of Lynchburg just as Jesus did. We believe that IAM is called to be bigger than just a local Korean community but an organization that is striving to work with other believers to help further the gospel, just as Jesus calls us to do.
This year, we have the honor and privilege of introducing you to, “United Worship Night”. We hope and plan to hold this event in Downtown Lynchburg in one of our local parks. Our goals for “United Worship Night” is for people of all different backgrounds, race, and age to come together and worship as one body under Christ. The event will be held on May 6th of 2018 with many different events and activities such as praise and worship, skits, choreography, nanta (Korean style drums), and much more.
In order for our group to make this possible, we need YOUR support. You can help us in a couple of different ways, whether that be financially supporting the team and/ or keeping us in your prayers.
Financially, we are hoping to raise $10,000 to help the event go smoothly and as organized as possible. But don’t feel overwhelmed by the number, any amount that you are willing to donate to the group is a tremendous help to the team. We believe fully by faith whether the $10,000 is met or not that God will ultimately be glorified at the end.
Another way you can choose to support IAM is, prayer. We believe that prayer is just as, if not more important than any financial help we could get. We hope and long that you will be apart of the IAM team whether it be directly helping and serving the event or serving in the background through prayer and support.
