Dear Bonnie friends, today we need your help.
a couple of days ago our beloved dog Bonnie has been hit by a car, resulting in a severe fracture of her hip and knee as well as an open wound on her belly. The doctors prognoses were pretty dark.
The big decision whether we put her down or do the huge surgery to give her a chance to continue to live was very difficult and painful for us.
Fortunately the doctor called us today (20th of June) with some good news: after her first operation where they treated her broken leg and closed the open wound she is stable and in fact she is in a way better condition already. She is a warrior!! Her pain has decreased, she even ate some cookies! We are incredibly relieved and it gave us hope that she can recover and keep on living a joyful life if she receives the right treatment.
Obviously the treatment and care she receives at the clinic come with a high price. The first surgery was about 2500€, each night at the clinic costs 300€, so right now we are facing a bill of about 3400€.
Tomorrow she will have another surgery, that will focus on the fracture of her hip. The estimated cost for this is 2000- 4000€. Most likely she will have to stay at the clinic for another week or 2, which adds up to a total price ranging from 7500€ to 11600€. While we don't really care about money when it comes to Bonnies health we will not be able to cover the cost of her treatment alone.
Therefore we are calling out to all of Bonnies friends and fans to help safe her precious life.
