Nashly Brito, una niña alegre y valiente de 5 añitos, es oriunda de nuestro querido San Rafael, y hoy necesita de todos nosotros.

El pasado 4 de julio, Nashly fue diagnosticada con leucemia linfoblástica aguda pre-B, un tipo agresivo de cáncer en la sangre. Desde entonces, ha estado hospitalizada recibiendo tratamientos intensivos, transfusiones de plaquetas, quimioterapias, etc, en Santo Domingo. Su familia espera con fe que pueda salir del hospital a finales de este mes de Julio, pero esta batalla apenas comienza.

Luego de su alta médica, Nashly tendrá que viajar cada semana desde San Rafael, Cabrera, hasta Santo Domingo para seguir con su tratamiento. Esto representa un enorme reto económico para su familia, que no cuenta con los recursos necesarios.

Hoy más que nunca, Cabrera necesita unirse. Esta niña es parte de nosotros, y juntos podemos aliviar la carga de su familia y darle a Nashly una oportunidad real de sanar.

Nashly Brito, a joyful and brave 5-year-old girl, is from our beloved town of San Rafael, and today she needs all of us.

On July 4th, Nashly was diagnosed with pre-B acute lymphoblastic leukemia, an aggressive type of blood cancer. Since then, she has been hospitalized in Santo Domingo, receiving intensive treatments, platelet transfusions, chemotherapy, and more. Her family is holding on to faith, hoping she can be discharged by the end of July — but this battle is only just beginning.

After leaving the hospital, Nashly will have to travel every week from San Rafael, Cabrera, to Santo Domingo to continue her treatment. This represents a huge financial challenge for her family, who doesn’t have the resources to cover these ongoing costs.

Now more than ever, Cabrera needs to come together. This little girl is one of our own, and together we can help lighten her family’s burden and give Nashly a real chance to heal.
