<div>Con profundo pesar, les informamos que el maestro Luis Quintero, reconocido guitarrista y ser humano de inigualable humildad y positividad, sufrió dos pequeños infartos cerebrales el pasado sábado 11 de enero. Estos eventos requirieron una intervención quirúrgica urgente, realizada el miércoles 15 de enero a las 10:00 a.m. en el Hospital Memorial West de Pembroke Pines, Florida.

<div>Durante la operación, se le colocó un stent en la arteria basilar para restaurar el flujo sanguíneo. Lamentablemente, aunque el stent cumplió su función principal, ha generado complicaciones al obstruir vasos sanguíneos cruciales para el habla y la movilidad. Como resultado, Luis se encuentra plenamente consciente pero presenta parálisis en el lado izquierdo y un pronóstico de posible deterioro en el lado derecho.

<div>With deep sorrow, we inform you that Maestro Luis Quintero, a renowned guitarist and a human being of unparalleled humility and positivity, suffered two minor strokes on Saturday, January 11. These events required urgent surgical intervention, which took place on Wednesday, January 15, at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial West Hospital in Pembroke Pines, Florida.

<div>During the procedure, a stent was placed in the basilar artery to restore blood flow. Unfortunately, while the stent fulfilled its primary function, it caused complications by obstructing vital blood vessels essential for speech and mobility. As a result, Luis is fully conscious but is experiencing paralysis on his left side and faces a prognosis of potential deterioration on the right side.

<div>The basilar artery is critical for cerebral circulation, and its treatment with stents, while effective in certain cases, carries significant risks, including ischemic and hemorrhagic complications.

<div>Those who know Luis are well aware of his dedication and love for his family, especially for his son Andrés, who has autism and resides in Venezuela, requiring specialized medical care, transportation, and nutrition. Before the operation, Luis expressed his concern, saying, “Don’t leave Andrés alone,” fully aware of the risks he was facing.
