 Somos Casa de Colombia, una organización sin ánimo de lucro con sede en San Diego, California, y con más de 50 años de trayectoria representando y uniendo a la comunidad colombiana en los Estados Unidos.

 Hemos creado esta campaña debido a nuestro vínculo con la comunidad colombiana y a nuestra profunda preocupación por nuestros compatriotas afectados por el reciente terremoto. Aunque estamos ubicados en Estados Unidos y no tenemos una relación directa con las víctimas individuales, estamos recaudando estos fondos en apoyo de las familias y comunidades afectadas en Colombia, que hoy necesitan nuestra solidaridad.

 El terremoto ha afectado a Chocó, Cali, Armenia, Pereira, Manizales y numerosas comunidades y municipios aledaños. Muchas familias enfrentan la pérdida o daños graves en sus viviendas y pertenencias y, dolorosamente, algunas familias han perdido a sus seres queridos.

 El 100% de los fondos recaudados a través de esta campaña será transferido por Casa de Colombia a la Cruz Roja Colombiana al finalizar la campaña.

 Los recursos serán destinados a apoyar la respuesta humanitaria de la Cruz Roja Colombiana para las personas afectadas por el terremoto, incluyendo ayuda de emergencia, alimentos, agua, asistencia médica, elementos de primera necesidad y otras necesidades humanitarias urgentes identificadas en las comunidades afectadas.

 We are House of Colombia, a nonprofit organization based in San Diego, California, with more than 50 years of history representing and bringing together the Colombian community in the United States.

 We are launching this fundraiser because of our connection to the Colombian community and our deep concern for our fellow Colombians affected by the recent earthquake. While we are based in the United States and are not directly related to individual victims, we are raising these funds on behalf of the affected families and communities in Colombia who urgently need support.

 The earthquake has affected Chocó, Cali, Armenia, Pereira, Manizales, and surrounding areas. Families are facing devastating losses, including damage to or loss of their homes and possessions, and, heartbreakingly, some have lost loved ones.

 HOW YOUR DONATION WILL HELP

 100% of the funds raised through this campaign will be transferred by House of Colombia to the Colombian Red Cross (Cruz Roja Colombiana) at the conclusion of the fundraiser.

 The funds will be provided to support the Colombian Red Cross's humanitarian response for people affected by the earthquake, including emergency relief, food, water, medical assistance, essential supplies, and other urgent humanitarian needs identified in the affected communities.

 House of Colombia will not use these funds for its own operating expenses or other organizational purposes.
</div>
