Ava Dallas is a bright, beautiful, and extremely talented 15 year old girl. She is top in her class, with a consistent 98 GPA in all honors classes and has broken New York State Section 2 records in Gymnastics-- scoring a 9.4 (2x) on the vault as a Freshman!! She also won Gymnast of the Year for the Capital Region.
Everyday I am so grateful that I have such a rockstar sister!! My name is Madison Dallas and I am raising money for Ava and my family after finding out that Ava has an extremely rare condition and requires immediate surgery.
I named this fundraiser Unicorn Ava because Ava's condition is a "unicornuate uterus with a non communicating rudimentary horn". This condition effects only 1/100,000 women. A unicornuate uterus is basically half of a uterus and one fallopian tube is connected to a non communicating rudimentary horn which is essentially a dead end, so every month fluidis building up and causing Ava extreme amounts of discomfort and pain. We have also discovered that Ava only has one kidney (thankfully it has no issues).
Ava is unable to get out of bed, sleep, stand up, or even do what she loves the most which is to go to gymnastics practice due to the fact that she is in so much pain from the fluid build up.
Since this condition is so extremely rare, it is necessary that Ava get specialized help and surgery to remove the tissue build up and rebuild her fallopian tube so she can get back to living a happy and healthy painless life as a 15 year old athlete!
I am making this fundraiser to help my family pay for the medical expenses, specialists, and the surgery that Ava will be getting within the next week. Thank you for the help!!!
