Now entering its 6th year as a cherished tradition for Calgary families, Equinox Vigil is a response to the need within our increasingly diverse and secular community for meaningful, contemporary public rituals to honour our deceased and reflect on the universal experience of death.

Our annual fundraiser makes it easy to support Equinox Vigil without having to leave the comfort of your home! Just tally up the savings (no babysitter! no tickets to buy!) and pay it forward.

Inspiring art installations, video projections, and shrines created by professional artists form the heart of the Equinox Vigil experience. Your support enables us to
produce this free event and pay our artists.

Here's a breakdown of some of our costs and ways you can support:

$25 pays for solar lighting
$100 artist fee for poetry reading
$250 pays for a photographer, a lantern artist or a memorial-making artist
$300-750 pays for an art installation or artist in residence
$1000 sponsors our Tea Tent
