Unexpected Death – Jade Miller

Dear friends, family and those who care:

Jade passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 as the result of an asthma attack.   As you can imagine the death of an 11-year-old in such a circumstance cannot be expected or planned for.

The Miller family is hard working and giving.  This family is known for its love to all of those who come in contact with them.  Jade’s giving and joyful life was a great example of this.

With that, they are also a family living from paycheck to paycheck with no reserves to cover all the expenses associated with the death of a loved one.  The situation is more complicated as their family of 6 needs to travel cross-country along with the other funeral costs.

Right now, finances are the last thing they should have to concern themselves with.

Jade was known for wisdom beyond her years.  Here is part of her last journal entry after dealing with a battle a couple of weeks ago that ended in disappointment.

Thank you for your generosity,

Also… For details, here is what the Millers prepared to share publicly:

We thought we'd get to teach our daughter about the world, but it looks like we will get to teach the world about our daughter.

August 13 at around 9:30 am we received a call from our daughter’s family in WI, where she was visiting that Jade had tragically passed away from a severe asthma attack.  She was a vibrant 11-year-old girl full of JOY and LIFE.  She was courageous, talking to and loving on anyone who'd let her.  She was a caretaker, an older sister who loved her younger siblings and lead with such a great sense of humor. She loved to read anything and everything, books, crossword puzzles and the back of shampoo bottles. She had a passion for knowledge and seeking out answers of this world. She loved Jesus.

A few weeks ago, she had said in a random conversation she was excited to go to heaven, because she had a lot of questions for Jesus. Without even knowing it we believe she was preparing herself for eternity. We know Jade would want the world to remember her as happy, loving, caring, and accepting of everyone. We would like to give her the best celebration of life we are able to. If there is any amount you feel led to give please do. There is no amount of money that can take away the sting of death, but with a family of 6 left to grieve anything will help that process.
