Unexpected Family Emergency Oversea

I created this page for my dear friend Cynthia Danby and her family. Her father, who has been working overseas in Iraq with the military, very suddenly went into cardiac arrest on 7/18. Her father needed to receive clearance to be transported from Iraq to Dubai for a more in depth assessment. He made it to Dubai, the situation does not look good. He had multiple system failures (kidney, lungs). The cardiac arrest has resulted in brain swelling and he had a high fever for unknown reasons. He is currently still unresponsive.

The doctors said that it is least likely that he will make a full recovery. He will either come out in a wheel chair with a trachea and in a vegetative state, or he will not make it at all. They will have to wait a few days before they can determine the amount of brain damage but at this point they believe it's inevitable.

Cynthia, her mother and brother traveled to Dubai for the first time on 7/19. This is certainly a stressful and heartbreaking time for them; not to mention an unexpected expenses that they could definitely use help with. My friend will never ask for handouts, but the cost of air fare one way to Dubai was 6k for the 3 of them. Their family was lucky to get to spend time with him 2 to 3 times every year briefly due to his career. Please help.
